Gun totin' Granny

Macklemore's latest single "Glorious" is accompanied by a pretty cool music video. It's a video of him taking his Grandmother out to do a bunch of awesome stuff.  

This is my Granny. I'm not sure how old she is in this picture. She is 89 this year and doesn't get out much. Her choice. She prefers her cozy surroundings and has a rough time outside her creature comforts. She has 6 children, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. We wouldn't be here without her.

instead of liking or sharing this on social media (which she doesn't have), call her. Ok. If we're not related, don't call HER but call your Grandmother, Grandfather, parents, God parents, you get the picture.  

Life gets busy. It gets complicated. Find the time to connect with your older relatives (if you have 'em and like 'em). It means the world to them.

This toy is at least 25 years old. I used to pretend that Mighty Max and Polly Pocket were boyfriend girlfriend.

Benjamin Moore Colour Selections for the New House

The time has come to pick some colours for our new Hintonburg house. I've gone with Benjamin Moore.

Kitchen: greens (Adirondack Green, Guilford Green)
Bathrooms: darker colours (Knoxville Gray, Thicket, Desert Twilight)
Accents: off whites (Steam, Calm, Gray Owl)
Accent wall(s): more vibrant colours (Buttercup, Stem Green, Lehigh Green)
Bedroom(s): rich brown shades (French Press, Carob)

Basically, I love all of their Historical Collection. What do you think?

What's your favourite Museum?

On lazy weekend mornings I love taking the kids to the Museum of Nature on Metcalfe St. in downtown Ottawa. What's your favourite museum in the national capital region?

Clothes Giveaway

I've reached out to a couple local charities who are not currently accepting donations for women's clothes (maternity/regular) or children's clothes. Since I'd prefer these items go to someone for FREE, I thought I'd offer them up to you before they go to Goodwill. 

If you are interested in any of the items, contact me and we can arrange pick up or drop off. The above link contains women's clothing, mostly maternity wear (sizes M to L) in fair to mint condition. There are also a few non-mat items. Any Qs? Contact me.
