Windmill Cottage

45 minutes from Algonquin Park’s East Gate and less than 10 minutes from the town of Barry’s Bay. Our lakefront cottage is located near the end of a shared, dirt road. This 1940s era log cabin is tucked among whispering pines overlooking Trout Lake. Owned and operated by radio host Amy Volume and family since 1975. We take great care in choosing guests who will appreciate Windmill’s history, peaceful surroundings, and rustic nature. If you’re drawn to the great outdoors, quiet mornings, and the charm of a true heritage cottage, this might be the perfect getaway for you.
